Welcome to Support & Connect Riverland

Established in 2023, Support & Connect was born from a vision to fill a glaring gap in Riverland’s disability support sector. We recognised the need for dedicated and compassionate mentoring and support for children and young adults, and since then, our mission has been to make a positive impact in their lives.

Our Story

Our journey began with a simple observation: while there are numerous services available for disability support, few truly focus on the unique needs of young individuals. This realisation inspired us to create a space where young people could find mentors and support workers who not only understand their challenges but can also relate to their experiences and aspirations.

Meet The Team

At the heart of Support & Connect is our incredible team, including 25+ Mentors/Support workers. Each member of our team is young, energetic, and passionate about making a difference. We believe that the best way to connect with our clients is through relatability and shared experiences, which is why we prioritise hiring support workers who can genuinely understand and engage with the children and young adults we serve.

Dylan Blackley

Dylan is the heart behind Support & Connect. With a strong passion for helping young people thrive, Dylan brings both lived experience and a solid foundation of professional training to every relationship he builds.

He holds a Certificate III in Individual Support, a Certificate IV in Disability, and a Diploma of Counselling, Majoring in Working with Children and Adolescents, as well as Child Development and Effective Parenting. Dylan has also completed a Diploma in Emergency Care, equipping him with the knowledge to respond calmly and confidently in high-pressure situations.

As Director of Support & Connect, Dylan leads a team of relatable mentors and support workers who share his belief in providing personalised, goal-focused support under the NDIS.

Social and Daily Personal Support: Our support workers provide guidance, support, and encouragement, helping young individuals navigate social inclusion and their daily personal needs.
Mentoring and Life Skills: We offer personalised support plans tailored to the unique goals of each client, ensuring they receive the direction and assistance they require to build important life skills.
Community and Recreational Activities: Understanding the importance of social engagement, we organise activities that promote social skills, physical health, and overall well-being.
NDIS Counselling Services: We provide mobile, flexible counselling support to help clients across the Riverland build emotional resilience and confidence.
School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES): Our SLES program supports young people as they transition from school to work, helping them develop job-ready skills, explore work options, and gain independence.
Adaptive Learning Pathways in Schools (ALPS): Our Adaptive Learning Pathways in Schools program helps Riverland students with NDIS funding build confidence, skills, and independence through flexible, personalised support.
